    • Thank you Phil. I loved that it all goes in the slow cooker and there is nothing to do when it is done but serve it. Have a great weekend!

  5. Even a die hard Italian can like corned beef and cabbage. Happy St Patty's Day to you. And, "May you be in heaven an hour before the devil knows you're dead."

  7. That looks so so delicious! I've never had real corned beef before. Only have had it from the can. And I love cooking it with cabbage and enjoying it on hot bed of rice. The cabbage and corned beef go so well together.

Your recipe definitely takes that to another level and I can imagine what potato, carrots and onions add to the mix. I will definitely have to give this a try – now I just need to find real corned beef!

  11. I should save this for next St. Patty's Day to make in the crock pot – it looks good Diane. Everyone must be Irish for one day a year!

    • It is crazy why we only tend to make corned beef for St Patty's Day isn't it? My hubby doesn't like it so that's why I don't make it as often as I would like too. But as you know, I order reuben sandwiches all the time when I eat out.

      • I know – who doesn't like corned beef sandwiches with the leftovers or do what you did in this recipe. I remember you saying you liked reuben sandwiches. People eat shepherd's pie all year around – we did and it was a favorite of ours.

  13. Yes good recipe . Thank you for your comment dear lady as gave up making nothing and paying out more. Moved down from that back to start and hope one day will have enough support to move on up again. Did really think of cancelling all and not bothering .takes it out of my thinking stories out. They offered me a deal gave me three weeks to think it out. Here I am again. Wrote nothing for six weeks and rested well. I did it 3 years made nothing out of it so now will not matter I know my worth is nothing so will write only when I want. Only 3 ladies including you ever commented regularly. Very upsetting no one else bothered to even subscribe according to WordPress no followers and that why no activity from me for so long

    • I write my recipes so I have them and it is therapeutic to do so. I think you shouldn't worry about how many followers and write your blog for you. Writing, in any form, is a way to escape and put your thoughts into words. After that the followers will come and you will enjoy their friendship, I know I do.
